5SHX08F4502 Docking framework for flexible IP65/67 device connectivity

Esperelkamp, 14 November 2023 - Harting is expanding its range of butt frame products to offer solutions in the IP65/67 protection class, which can be used in standard dimensions of industrial connectors (6B to 24B). This allows machine modules and molds to be connected automatically, without the use of tools at all. The insertion process, including cable hardwiring, can use the "blind insertion" option.

The floating side of the butt frame and the guide element provide the necessary flexibility and safety during insertion. When joined, the two halves of the housing form an interface. The butt frame compensates for 1 mm of lateral offset while having a tolerance of 1.5 mm in the axial direction to ensure safe and reliable insertion. After docking, the connection created between the seals on both sides can achieve IP65/67 protection.

The IP65/67 docking framework can be used flexibly with Han® integrated modules and HAN-Modular ® modules. Complete, comprehensive interface protection is achieved through the rear-mounted housing.
