At present, the new energy automobile industry is growing rapidly, market competition has entered the white heat, and cost reduction has become the number one concern of the automobile industry. In the context of dual-carbon, "integrated die casting" technology with its integration, scale, intelligence, green, high-end and other advantages, to drive vehicle body manufacturing process lightweight innovation, help the global automobile manufacturing process change.
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC Decca Co., LTD., Qinhuangdao Xinyue Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. has advanced technology and rich experience in the field of aluminum casting equipment integration. In February this year, by its joint with another CITIC Group subsidiary officially launched the "7500T integrated die casting machine", which is not only one of China's largest two plate die casting machine independently researched and developed, but also was rated as one of the first ten scientific and technological innovation projects of CITIC Group "14th Five-Year Plan", and was unveiled at the 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference.
As a partner of CITIC Decca and its subsidiaries in the automotive key equipment transformation track, Siemens has provided comprehensive support for the development, manufacturing and operation of this intelligent equipment by integrating the digital frontier technology of the real and digital world.
This integrated die casting machine with a clamping force of up to 7,500 tons is a vivid practice of CITIC Decca's core technology and breakthroughs in the field of scientific and technological innovation. From the point of view of the main equipment alone, it is 22 meters long, 8 meters wide, 6.5 meters high, weighing 550 tons, and covers an area close to two basketball courts, which can be said to be an unassailable "industrial giant".
The equipment has reached the international leading level in 22 technical applications such as double closed-loop injection control system. With the intelligent closed-loop tuning system and ultra-high integrated mold structure, the product group processing can be quickly switched without waiting, and a product can be completed in an average of 20 seconds. China FAW's first integrated die-cast steel and aluminum hybrid frame technology in the industry has completed trial production on the equipment, realized the highly integrated design of 98 auto parts, and completed the production and processing at one time, opening up a new product direction for the integration field.
Experts from Siemens Research Institute have held several "Digital Twin Co-creation workshops" with customers to study and solve problems together, introducing the concept of Siemens Digital Twin technology (DT) and Industrial Metaverse from the equipment development stage. The whole life cycle digital twin model is established for die casting machine, which runs through design, manufacture, operation and maintenance, and simulates key processes and equipment operation conditions such as injection and electromechanical hydraulic coupling. In this way, before any part is put into production, the digital twin can assist customers to complete complex demonstrations at a controllable cost, and guide subsequent design optimization, saving a lot of money and time costs for experimental demonstration. According to reports, with the blessing of the digital twin, the R & D manufacturing cycle of this 7500T integrated die casting machine has been shortened by about 50%.
At the same time, design engineers can also superimpose virtual equipment models and real-time data into real scenes through Augmented Reality (AR) technology, visualizing and immersively experiencing the "industrial metauniverse", realizing detailed observation and real-time interaction of equipment structure, workflow and performance. It can help engineers better understand and optimize equipment design, reduce errors and test costs. This also provides more convenience for cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary collaborative design. In the installation stage, due to the huge equipment, through the integration of AR and real space, it is also possible to better analyze the potential installation space dry load bearing requirements to ensure better installation effects and equipment operating quality.
