Beijing, China, February 20, 2019 - Schneider Electric announced the launch of the EcoStruxure™ Process Safety Advisor. As a digital process safety platform and service based on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), EcoStruxure Process Safety Consultant enables customers to visualize and analyze real-time hazardous events and risks that affect enterprise assets, operations and performance.
The EcoStruxure Process Safety Consultant is built on the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure SIF Manager application to fully track and verify the performance of safety Instrumented functions (SIF) in the plant. EcoStruxure Process Safety Advisor provides a single view to show the health and status of SIF operations, helping customers identify potential risks and their impact on operational performance.
EcoStruxure Process Security Advisor can extend the capabilities of SIF Manager in a unique way, regardless of platform and vendor. Using a secure, cloud-based infrastructure, EcoStruxure Process Security Consultants bring together real-time data, analytics and insights from multiple sites and geographies into a single user interface, enabling customers to create accurate enterprise-wide risk profiles in real time. In addition, EcoStruxure process Safety consultants can identify the need for corrective action through easy-to-understand performance dashboards and key indicators of safety and health, and document the entire process using an embedded SIF audit trail for safety compliance.

"EcoStruxure Process Safety Consultants enable industrial companies to create closed-loop safety models that verify actual performance against original design criteria." Sven Grone, head of Schneider's Electrical Safety Services practice, said: "Businesses can now accurately predict when safety risks will exceed acceptable thresholds, and as a result, they are better able to avoid accidents and reduce downtime, while improving operational efficiency, reliability and profitability. Ultimately, EcoStruxure Process Safety consultants will enhance our customers' ability to operate safely, comply with safety regulations, and improve revenue projections."
EcoStruxure is Schneider Electric's iot based, open and interoperable system architecture and platform. EcoStruxure delivers higher value to customers in terms of safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability and connectivity. EcoStruxure leverage advances in the Internet of Things, mobility, sensing, cloud computing, analytics and cybersecurity to drive comprehensive innovation at every level, from connected products to edge control, applications, analytics and services. To date, EcoStruxure has more than 480,000 deployments worldwide, is supported by more than 20,000 developers and system integrators, and manages more than 1.6 million assets in the cloud through more than 40 digital services.
Unique security solutions drive better business and operational decisions
EcoStruxure Process Security Advisor is the only solution on the market that integrates and correlates past, present and future operational risk, performance data across the enterprise, covering multiple sites and regions. Through visual cues, statistics and analysis of past and present performance, it can improve the decision-making ability of enterprises and help owners, managers and operators avoid risks before major security incidents occur.
First, EcoStruxure process Safety consultants collect, digitize, and analyze local data from existing security systems, process control systems, and other layers of protection, and accurately monitor the gaps between their design and actual performance. EcoStruxure process safety consultants then provide contextual insight into past, present and future operational risks under real-time operating conditions.
Next, EcoStruxure Process Safety consultants aggregate data from each site into a secure cloud platform and dynamically present enterprise-wide operational risks through a searchable interface. Customers can also delve into visualizing risks associated with individual sites, production units, hazards, protective layers, and safety equipment integrity.
"ARC's research shows that to operate profitably and safely, employees must understand past, present and future risks." Mark Sen Gupta, Head of research at ARC Consulting Group, said, "Having an automated system that provides critical insight ensures that every member of the organization - from company partners to business managers to site maintenance technicians - can make well-informed decisions about how best to safely operate equipment assets. Through a unified cloud-based user interface, users have direct real-time access to this information to obtain the necessary single-source facts. ARC believes that solutions like EcoStruxure Process Safety Advisor can help drive more effective collaboration, resolve past and current problems faster, and catch potential problems faster before they become problems."
