ABB Motor & Generator business in China 20th anniversary celebration
Since introducing high-efficiency low-voltage motors to China in 1995, ABB has continued to promote the local research and development, manufacturing and sales of motors and generators, and now has a complete product line and service business including high-efficiency motors, generators and mechanical transmission products. In order to meet the diverse needs of customers, ABB provides a standard motor mass production, but also to provide customized designs for customer specific requirements.
Dr. Gu Chunyuan, Chairman and President of ABB (China) Co., LTD., said: "Building an ecological civilization, achieving coordinated development of economic growth and environmental protection cannot be separated from energy conservation and emission reduction. In the past 20 years, ABB has actively promoted the application of high-efficiency motors in China, helping customers improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption, and achieving considerable economic and environmental benefits. In the future, ABB will continue to develop and provide more energy-efficient products and technologies, and work with customers to contribute to the sustainable development of the country."
Dr. Gu Chunyuan, Chairman and President of ABB (China) Co., Ltd. delivered a speech at the ceremony
At the 20th anniversary celebration of the motor and generator business, ABB also rolled off the production line the 5.2 millionth low-voltage motor and the 9,000th high-voltage motor manufactured locally. Among them, ABB's M2BAX series low-voltage motor is not only efficient and energy-saving, but also more suitable for the use of Chinese customers in the structure of the design, including M2SE flue motor and M2BAX Marine motor developed based on this product platform. The new generation of high-voltage compact modular motor NMI and cast iron high-voltage motor NXR, launched in 2014, have also developed several new models this year to bring customers a full range of products and solutions.
At present, ABB's efficient and reliable motor products have been widely used in China's port lifting, airport construction, rail transit, food and beverage and other fields. In the port lifting industry, ABB motors help Qingdao Port automated terminal to achieve rapid loading and unloading links and continuous stacking required for stable power supply, improve terminal handling capacity and automation; In the food and beverage industry, ABB motor combined reducer and inverter drive system provides a complete solution for the material handling field from electrical control to mechanical, with the optimal system design for customers to save the time and manpower required to select different products, and greatly improve work efficiency; In the rail transit industry, ABB traction motors has participated in the construction of railways and subways in many cities at home and abroad, serving the domestic market while also helping Chinese enterprises actively "go global" and supporting the implementation of the national "Belt and Road" strategy.
