(Milwaukee, Dec. 6, 2018) Factory floors are often equipped with numerous displays and installed applications, making it difficult for manufacturers to manage a large number of content sources. Rockwell Automation's newly expanded Allen-Bradley VersaView 5200 thin client portfolio features ThinManager software that makes it easier for manufacturers to manage applications.

Rockwell Automation Product Manager Matt Hansen said, "The new addition to the VersaView 5200 portfolio offers multiple resolution options, giving end users the option to use a single display or manipulate multiple displays to work in parallel. Today, customers using ThinManager software can choose thin client hardware based on their specific application needs."

The VersaView 5200 extended portfolio consists of five thin clients: Single display, Dual display, dual 4K display, multi-4K display and Integrated display. The multi-4K display model is the industry's first with seven monitors, powered exclusively by ThinManager software.
These new thin clients have their own characteristics and advantages. The single-display model has a compact design with only one DisplayPort video output interface. The dual 4K display model features a high-performance Intel Atom quad-core CPU for more demanding applications. The multi-4K display model features a high-performance Intel i5 quad-core CPU for applications that require multiple monitors.

The VersaView 5200 Displayless Thin client option is ideal for use with the VersaView 5100 monitor. This two-piece solution isolates the display from the thin client, allowing users to replace either device individually.

The VersaView 5200 thin client is tailored for ThinManager software to reach into different aspects of modern industrial operations, with centralized management for content and visualization. It simplifies the management of all devices and users, reduces downtime and reduces maintenance efforts. With Rockwell Automation's location-based Relevance technology, the VersaView 5200 thin client delivers highly targeted content based on role and location.

When used with ThinManager software, the VersaView 5200 thin client can receive information immediately after powering on, eliminating the need for device configuration, and effectively improving the speed of device replacement. All information is stored in the server, and sensitive information is effectively protected. In addition, ThinManager software sets up a multi-user authentication mechanism and applies biometric identification technology based on fingerprint scanning.
