The AO845/AO845A analog output module is suitable for unipolar or redundant applications with eight unipolar analog output channels. The module performs self-diagnosis periodically. Module diagnostics include:
If the process power supply providing voltage to the output circuit is too low, or if the output current is less than the output setpoint and output setpoint 1 mA (open circuit), an external channel error is reported (Active channel > Report only).
If the output circuit cannot give the correct current value, an internal channel error is reported. In a redundant pair, the module will enter an error state by the ModuleBus host command.
A module error is reported if an output transistor error, short circuit, checksum error, internal power error, status link error, watchdog, or faulty OSP behavior occurs.
