Description
The IC670CHS101 I/O terminal block is a common wiring base that provides module installation, backplane communication, and terminals for user connection. Two modules can be mounted on one module with a junction box. The module is screwed to the terminal block for vibration resistance. Modules can be removed to interfere with field wiring. For each I/O module, there are three separate groups of commonly used terminals: Group A (internally connected) usually uses Group B (internally connected together) for power connections. Group E has 5 common terminals which are internally connected together, isolated from power and point terminal. They can use application connections when they need them. Terminals 1±16 are used for I/O connections.
The I/O terminal block IC670CHS101 has a projection slot aligned to the position of each module. It must be used with the module with a directory number suffix of J or above. These modules have protruding tabs inserted into the alignment slots. The bus interface unit version 2.1 or later is hot
Insert/remove modules from the I/O station. Hybrid IC670CHS10x terminal block and IC670CHS00x terminal block are not recommended to be used in the same I/O station.
The I/O terminal block IC670CHS102, IC670CHS002B and later versions have metal ground bars. They must be used with grounded conductive DIN guides. Do not use these terminal block terminal block IC670GBI001 with version A I/O terminal block or BIU, without metal ground strip; The noise resistance of the system is very poor.
