The IC693CHS397 is a 5-slot expansion baseboard for the 90-30 series programmable logic controller (PLC) platform. The baseboard, formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc and now owned by Emerson Automation, primarily features five (5) I/O slots, one (1) power slot, and one (1) expansion port. The module supports the installation of standard 90-30 series I/O modules and dedicated modules. It is designed to be used directly on the panel through the mounting piece provided.


Working principle
The working principle of IC693CHS398 PLC mainly involves three basic stages: input sampling, program execution and output refresh. These stages are executed in cycles for real-time control and data processing.

Input sampling phase: IC693CHS398 PLC reads the values of all input signals into the input image register by scanning all input terminals. The signal in the input image register is blocked and its value is not updated even if the input signal changes.
Program execution stage: The PLC executes the user program one by one from top to bottom and from left to right. In the process of execution, the PLC reads the input signal from the input image register, carries out logical operation or data processing, and stores the result in the output image register.
Output refresh phase: IC693CHS398 PLC outputs the value in the output image register to the output terminal, thereby controlling the controlled device. The values in the output image register are emptied during the output refresh and wait for the output refresh at the next scan cycle.
