Product description
Part of GE Fanuc Automation's larger VersaMotion series, the IC800SSD104RS1 is an S2K series servo amplifier with rotary transformer feedback. The amplifier is 4.3 amps and 115/230 VAC 52 K. It applies to the IC800SSI104RSI, IC800SSI104RD2, and IC800SSI104RP2 controllers. The device has extended I/O and requires S series servo motors.
The amplifier includes a two-character diagnostic LED, rugged power module, command signal, torque limiting analog input, user-configurable quadrature encoder output, serial encoder feedback from S-Series servo motors, sinusoidal commutation of pulses and directions for smooth speed and minimum torque pulsations, quadrature encoder or for position control mode cw/ccw pulse input format, and AC power input and motor connections at the bottom of the unit for isolating electrical noise. It weighs 3.6 pounds and measures 6.05 inches (D) x 3.20 inches (W) x 8.50 inches (H). Position feedback connector depth is 1.26 inches. Operating range is plus or minus 10 VDC, resolution is 12 bits, output current is 5 mA, input voltage range is +5 to +15 VDC, line count frequency is up to 3 MHz. The pulse frequency is up to 12 MHz, and the output voltage is +5 VDC using a 4x multiplier.
For the analog output on the IC800SSD104RS1-DC, the operating range is plus or minus 10 VDC, the resolution is 8 bits, and the output current is 5 mA. Operating temperature, free air ambient temperature must be 0 to 50°C, storage and transport temperature must be -40 to 80°C. The housing is open. The amplifier must be mounted vertically to allow cycling through a heat sink. There is an RS-232 serial communication multipurpose programming port on the amplifier. The RS-232 has a maximum range of 50 feet and a communication rate of 9,600 baud.
