Product description
The IS200DSPXH1BDB is GE's innovative series of digital signal processor boards.
The IS200DSPXH1BDB, also known as DSPX, is capable of controlling bridge and motor regulators as well as all gate functions of the system. It can also control general field control applications for EX2100 exciters. DSPX boards can handle logic functions and power, and are able to connect with other boards. Several memory components that come standard with other innovative PCBS also come standard with the board. It uses NVRAM, RAM, add-only memory, and flash memory, and can store a variety of information.
On the front panel of the IS200DSPXH1BDB, there are two LED indicators labeled "Status" and "Fault". There is a 12-pin male connector labeled EMUL and a 16-pin male Serial port labeled HS Serial. There are many diodes, capacitors and resistors on this PCB. There are three transistors, six ferrite beads, a card slot connection labeled P1, 16 integrated circuits, and seven resistance networks.
When installing the IS200DSPXH1BDB into the system, it is critical to ensure that it is installed in the correct card slot on the rack. Card slots on the innovative rack are keyed specifically for a specific board. If you place an unpaired board into a slot, the board or slot may become damaged. It is also important to remember to maintain anti-static procedures when handling or installing DSPX to avoid damage due to the build-up and release of static electricity.
