Desciption
IC200ALG266 is the VersaMax analog input module. The module is primarily used in distributed I/O architectures for connecting analog measuring instruments and feedback devices to generate signal voltage ranges from 10 VDC to + 10 VDC. The input module has an analog-to-digital signal conversion resolution of 15 bits or 0.3125mV per count.

The IC200ALG266 is powered by a backplane power supply with a maximum current consumption of 150 mA. It does not require an external power supply to activate each input channel, as the embedded fifteen (15) analog input channels support a feed-current wiring configuration. The module has an accuracy of +/-0.3% typical value of full scale, +/-0.5% maximum value of full scale at an operating temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, and +/-1% maximum value of full scale at 60 degrees Celsius.

The various channels of IC200ALG266 are capable of detecting faults in analog signal conversion. This happens when the output provided by the AD converter is greater than 6% of the full scale value. This error is reported to the CPU, which can be represented as a fault or poor signal quality in conjunction with Human machine interface (HMI) and supervisory control and Data acquisition (SCADA) systems.

The IC200ALG266 has a software-configurable input state in response to CPU stops or module errors. These options include default or last-state operations and are suitable for achieving a safe boot, especially in the event of a power outage. The filter response for each input channel is 32 Hz +/-20% and the channel update rate is 7.5 ms.

The GE Fanuc Automation IC200ALG266 module is a certified Versamax input module manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. The module is designed to provide interfaces for different input devices. The interface is implemented by connecting to the 15 input channels contained in the module. These inputs are analog, and the module comes with an LED that indicates when the driver is properly configured and able to run, which is the OK LED.

GE Fanuc Automation IC200ALG266 Versamax input modules feature protection to ensure safe operation and help extend the life of modules and inputs. These protection features protect the module from overvoltage levels higher than 30 V DC. The operation of each input is a separate operation, which means that if one of them is in a faulty state, it will not affect the functionality of the remaining inputs.

GE Fanuc Automation IC200ALG266 Versamax input modules have backplane current consumption ratings of 50 mah to 100 mah. It cannot be powered by an external power source. The IC200ALG266 Versamax input module has a resolution of 15 bits, but may require derating up to +/-2% if it is exposed to RF interference. The module filters at a channel update rate of 7.5 milliseconds. The input current of the module ranges from -10 VD to + 10 VDC.
