The PCI-8512 is a CAN interface device used to connect a PC to the controller area network bus and communicate. The device uses an onboard transceiver for high-speed/flexible data rate, low-speed/fault-tolerant and/or single-line CAN communication, as well as any external transceiver.

Based on NI-XNET drivers, the PCI-8512 CAN create applications that require real-time high-speed manipulation of hundreds of CAN frames and signals. It CAN also import, edit, and use fieldbus to exchange formats and signals in database container files in an integrated CAN database.

PCI-8512 has a wide range of applications in many fields.
