Dynamic packet size, 4 to 64 bytes of data, multi-mode fiber connection distance up to 300 meters, single-mode fiber connection distance up to 10km, up to 256 nodes, data written to the memory of one node will also be written to the memory of all nodes on the network.
High-speed, easy-to-use fiber optic network (serial 2.12 Gbaud) with transfer rates from 43 MB/s (4-byte packets) to 170 MB/s (64-byte packets, 128 MB or 256 MB SDRAM reflective memory.
Redundant transfer mode for additional error suppression, no processor overhead, no processor involved in network operations, PCI 64-bit 66 MHz transmission, 3.3 or 5V, single wide sandwich interface. An independent DMA channel where any node on the network can use a single command to generate interrupts in any other node on the network or in all network nodes.
