The National Instruments SCXI-1121 is designed for a wide variety of sensor and signal inputs requiring isolation. The SCXI-1121 offers independently configurable isolation amplifiers, filters, and excitation sources for each channel. This module can acquire strain, RTD, thermocouple, millivolt, volt, 250 V, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA current input signals. The SCXI-1121 can multiplex their channels into a single channel of the DAQ device, and you can add modules to increase channel count. This module also offers parallel-mode operation.
The SCXI-1121 analog inputs consist of 4 isolated instrumentation amplifiers. Each channel can be independently configured using jumpers for input ranges of ±2.5 mV to ±5 V. A lowpass filter is included with each channel.The SCXI-1121 is CE certified as double insulated, Category II, for 250 Vrms of operational isolation.
Follow these guidelines to optimize the connections and environmentduring calibration:
.Keep connections to the SCXI-1121 short. Long cables and wires can
act as antennas, picking up extra noise and thermal offsets that affectmeasurements.
Use shielded copper wire for all cable connections to the SCXI-1121.Use twisted-pair wire to eliminate noise and thermal offsets.
Maintain the ambient temperature between 18 C and 28 .Keep relative humidity below 80%.
Allow a warm-up time of at least 15 minutes for the SCXI-1121 toensure that the measurement circuitry is at a stable operating
temperature.
The SCXI-1121 can collect strain, resistance temperature detector (RTD), thermocouple, millivolt, volt and current input signals. In addition, the channels of SCXI‑1121 can multiplex individual channels of the data acquisition device, and you can also increase the number of channels by adding modules.
SCXI‑1121 also provides parallel mode operation.The most serious failure in the man-machine interface is operator station crash. There are many reasons for the operator station crash, and it is more complex, it may be the cooling fan stop leading to overheating of the host, the CPU load is too heavy, the software itself has defects, and the hard disk and memory are caused by hidden dangers.
