At the opening ceremony of Shanghai Energy Conservation Publicity Week held on May 13, the Shanghai Industrial carbon Management public Service Platform was officially launched, which is the first comprehensive service platform for industrial carbon management in China.
Zhang Min, deputy director of the Energy Conservation and comprehensive utilization Department of Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, said that the platform integrates the functions of enterprise organization carbon accounting, product carbon accounting, carbon certification, carbon efficiency evaluation, carbon finance, ESG and other functions, providing enterprises with one-stop services such as carbon footprint application, accounting, report generation, third-party verification, certification and other services, and providing basic support for the export of related products.

It is reported that the platform built-in wind power, solar energy and other high-end equipment, lithium batteries and other electronic information, food, furniture, paper products and other consumer products, steel products, steel parts and various types of energy driven vehicles and other more than 50 accounting models, can help enterprises to carry out low-cost carbon footprint accounting and certification.
The Action Plan of Shanghai to Accelerate the Establishment of Product carbon footprint Management System and build a Green and low-carbon supply Chain issued by Shanghai proposes that by 2025, Shanghai will basically build a product carbon footprint service platform system, promote the creation of more than 50 green and low-carbon chain master enterprises, and cultivate a number of green and low-carbon professional service institutions with international service level.
The opening ceremony also unveiled Shanghai's top 10 green and low-carbon innovative technology products for 2024.
Among them, the all-solid-state lithium battery of Yi Lithium new energy has broken through the core technical problems of the solid-state battery material system, solved the safety problems of traditional lithium batteries, and reached the international advanced level of technical performance indicators. Yike Energy AI large model low-carbon optimization production scheduling system, has changed the traditional production line energy consumption management, widely used in high-energy process industrial production lines. Direct Carbon Capture Division's low-energy Direct Air carbon capture technology (DAC) can directly capture carbon dioxide from the air, leading the international level of adsorbent adsorption, capture costs can be reduced by up to 40%.
In recent years, Shanghai has given full play to the advantages of 5G and big data, focused on the introduction of energy management, environmental governance, and the digitalization of production processes in Shanghai's industrial system, and formed a number of green factories.
According to the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Shanghai has built a total of 145 national-level green factories, 13 national-level green supply chain management enterprises, 8 national-level green parks, and 67 national-level green design products. At the same time, a total of 295 municipal green factories, 33 green supply chain management enterprises, 24 green parks, 150 green design products have been cultivated.
Focusing on enterprises with small energy consumption, Shanghai will guide them to develop zero-carbon factories and zero-carbon parks.
By the end of 2023, there will be 29 zero-carbon demonstration institutions in Shanghai, including 20 zero-carbon factories, two zero-carbon data centers and seven zero-carbon creation parks, covering key industries such as biomedics, automobiles, high-end intelligent equipment and electronic appliances.
At the same time, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology said that at present, the creation of zero-carbon factories and zero-carbon parks is still in its infancy, mainly because the technology of deep decarbonization is not mature enough to achieve large-scale emission reduction, and the realization of zero-carbon goals requires a lot of capital and technology investment, adding additional burdens to enterprises. Considering the limited resource endowment of Shanghai landscape, as well as the characteristics of the industrial and energy structure, at this stage, it is only suitable for some enterprises and parks with low energy consumption and low carbon emission intensity to take the lead in exploring the technological roadmap of low-carbon and zero-carbon transformation in the industrial field, and driving more factories and parks to actively follow up.
During this year's Energy Conservation Publicity Week, 427 themed activities will be carried out in various lines in Shanghai, and the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission and green low-carbon partners will jointly launch the "Green low-carbon gift package" for the public, covering three major sections: green activity gift package, green consumption gift package and green research gift package.
Wang Jiajun, head of external exchange and cooperation of the secretariat of the Shanghai Energy Conservation Association, said that the green consumption gift package will issue more than 1 million green travel, green catering discounts, experience vouchers, and green home appliance promotion activities to further promote the consumption of new energy vehicles and green home appliances.
