Description
The 1394-SJT05-C was manufactured by Allen-Bradley as a GMC standard system module for the 1394 Product Bulletin for multi-axis motion control systems. The component has embedded RS232/422 and DH485 capabilities, as well as AxisLink and remote I/O communication ports.

Since the module is equipped with a remote I/O communication port, it is able to perform data exchange between the GMC Turbo and Standard systems, as well as with Allen-Bradley's SLC 500 and PLC 5 controller platforms. In addition, AxisLink communication can be used to communicate directly with other system modules in the network. It can also be used to set spindles in a network.

When wiring system modules, use MTW type copper wire, which is a 75 degree Celsius machine tool wire. Use 12 AWG wire diameters (3.3 mm2). Minimize noise and ground loops, separate feedback and ensure the system is properly grounded to ensure smooth system operation. The system module is designed for the inverter carrier frequency of 5000 Hz. Output inverter switch output carrier frequency is 10,000 Hz. This can become an additional source of noise, potentially affecting sensitive equipment installed near the module.
