Desciption
The Allen-Bradley 1746-IB16 is an SLC500 module with sixteen (16) discrete input channels. It has one (1) set of input channels and can operate at a nominal signal voltage of 24VDC with an operating voltage range of 10-30VDC. It is compatible with any SLC500 chassis.
1746-IB16 Supports only the irrigation line configuration. It is used to connect electrical components such as switches, including limit, approach, push button devices, and auxiliary contacts for relays, contactors, and other electronic devices. Each input channel of the 1746-IB16 exhibits a public signal delay duration of 8 ms in both on and OFF transitions, with a maximum OFF state voltage of 5VDC and a maximum OFF state current of 1 mA, compared to the module's nominal input current of 8 Ma@24VDC.

1746-IB16 The number of installed instances varies depending on the SLC500 CPU installed. Specifically, it depends on the amount of I/O supported by the CPU memory. The module can also be installed locally, on racks with SLC 500 cpus or in distributed I/O enclosures, and on 1746 communication adapters such as Remote I/O (RIO) and Ethernet adapter modules.
