Desciption

Allen-Bradley 1756-EWEB, or Enhanced Web Server, is a module that provides access to control system information through a Web browser. This also allows for remote monitoring and modification of control system data within the same chassis using XML web pages. The 1756-EWEB module allows you to route messages, flash upgrade modules, and upload or download programs. Therefore, the 1756-EWEB module acts as a bridge to access the target device. You can also use this module to create custom web pages that suit your application. Using ASP functions, you can populate web pages with real-time controller data. This functionality is limited because the 1756-EWEB module can only store a maximum of 5 MB of web pages and data views. You can also create email messages through the embedded email writer of the 1756-EWEB module, as well as send email messages initiated by the Logix controller using the MSG instruction. Please note that when you use the interface to send an email, you need to enter all the email information each time. TCP or UDP communication links can also be opened through this module to connect to other standard Ethernet devices. The 1756-EWEB module can support up to 128 connected CIP connection messages for any combination of bridging messages, ASP function calls and data calls, and 32 end node connections. In addition, it can support up to 256 unconnected CIP messages, half of which can go from the Ethernet port to an object or backplane on the module, and the other half can go from the backplane to an object or Ethernet port on the module. Each IP address to which the module connects uses one TCP connection, and the module can support up to 64 TCP connections that will handle CIP connections. Installing the 1756-EWEB module is simple; You simply align the module with the slot in the 1756 ControlLogix controller case, slide it in until it snaps into place, and then connect it to the network.

Allen-Bradley 1756-EWEB is a ControlLogix communication module. This module is specifically an Ethernet I/P communication bridge module that allows remote access to ControlLogix controller components, including user programs and hardware configurations.

The 1756-EWEB comes with an RJ-45 Ethernet interface that supports 10/100 Mbps transfer speeds. The Web server functionality of the module can be accessed using a standard Web browser when the appropriate IP address is provided.
