The Allen-Bradley 1756-HYD02 is a module that connects to the 1756 ControlLogix controller and is commonly used for precise control and positioning of hydraulic cylinders. It can be connected to a linear displacement sensor (LDT) for feedback, or to a proportional or servo valve to control the hydraulic shaft, up to two axes can be controlled by one module. The LDT will provide an analog command reference for the valve. This is to ensure that the actuator or cylinder follows the profile. Once feedback is received, the 1756-HYD02 module closes the high-speed position loop with the help of a hydraulic system connected to it. It will then produce a +/-10V analog output speed command. The servo loop type is proportional, Integral, and Differential (PID) with feedforward and directional scaling functions. The 1756-HYD02 has a 32-bit floating-point gain resolution and an absolute position range of 230,000 LDT counts. It also has optional speeds from 500 Hz to 4 KHZ. Current consumption is 700 mA for 5.1 volts DC and 2.5 ma for 24 volts DC. The heat dissipation is 18.77 BTU/ hour and the isolation voltage is 30 volts continuous from the user to the system. The 1756-HYD02 can be installed in any slot in the ControlLogix chassis. To install, you simply slide it into the available slot until it snaps into place. However, it is recommended to keyed the detachable terminal (RTB) to prevent accidental connection of the wrong RTB to the module. Make sure to use a unique keying mode for each slot. For this 1756-HYD02 module, you can use a cage clamp or a spring clamp.
The 1756-HYD02 is a ControlLogix hydraulic servo module from Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation. The hardware is usually used for precise positioning and control of hydraulic cylinders. It can be connected to a linear displacement sensor (LDT) for feedback, to a proportional or servo valve to control a hydraulic shaft, and to a hydraulic system to close a high-speed position loop. Specifications for the hardware include a maximum of 2 axes for the number of axes available, proportional, Integral, and differential (PID), a servo loop type with feedforward and directional scaling capabilities, and 32-bit floating point for gain resolution. The hardware also has an absolute position range of 230,000 LDT counts and a servo loop rate of 500 Hz to 4 kHz (optional)
