The 1756-IT16 module is a ControlLogix 1756 component designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This enhanced I/O non-isolated analog module is designed for applications that require advanced control capabilities, providing stability, accuracy and high performance. Improved functionality is provided by the 1756-IT16 module, which is installed directly in the case. The ControLogix module is available in generic isolated analog input modules, combined temperature detection input modules, and generic current and voltage analog output modules. The 1756-IT16 thermocouple analog I/O module has 16 channels and 24-bit resolution. The unit has a status LED display and an open housing. The unit includes CE, c-UL-us, RCM, Ex, KC, EAC and IECEx certifications.


The 1756-IT16 module has a 200 MA current consumption at 5.1 V DC and 80 mA current consumption at 24 V DC. In addition to this, the device has an input/output range of -100 to 100 millivolts, with a maximum of 5 voltamps. The module has a continuous isolation voltage of 250 volts and an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The 1756-IT16 module has a maximum power consumption of 3 watts and a maximum heat dissipation of 9.9 BTU per hour. Overvoltage protection is rated at +/- 30 V DC, while normal mode noise suppression is 75 dB (60 Hz). The 1756-IT16 module is linearized with an ITS-90 thermocouple and requires two CJC sensors to operate in thermocouple mode. It should be noted that the CJC sensor (product code 1756-CJC) is not included in this module and needs to be purchased separately.
