The Alan Bradley 1756-L84E is a Control ogix controller. This controller is a high-end controller with a modern design and strong connectivity. The controller is ideal for large applications as it can be used to connect and control input and output devices, especially 128,000 discrete inputs and outputs and 4,000 analog inputs and outputs.

Allen-Bradley's 1756-L84E ControlLogix 5580 controller is a high performance controller with up to 128,000 1/ OS to enhance machine automation and improve performance. It comes with 20MB of user program storage memory and allows for expansion and long-term program storage via an optional pre-loaded 2 GB secure digital card (1784-SD2). An energy storage module is embedded in the controller, requiring no additional batteries, and the entire controller consumes 5mA of backplane current at 1.2V DC and 1.2mA of backplane current at 5.1V DC. The 1756-L84E has an operating heat dissipation of 21.2 BTU/hr and provides 50V isolation between USB port to backplane, Ethernet port to backplane, and USB port to Ethernet port, utilizing basic insulation tested at 1000V AC for 1 minute.
The 1756-L84E comes with integrated communication ports, such as one (1) Ethernet IP. The embedded port supports transfer speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps and can be used to communicate with Human machine interface (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and other controllers via message instructions within the same Ethernet. The USB port is USB 12 that supports 2.0 Mbps communication speeds.
The 1756-L84E has 20MB of built-in user memory. Extended non-volatile memory can be installed using the 1784-SD2 (2GB secure digital (SD) card). The controller does not require a battery to retain the contents of volatile memory, as it comes with a modern energy storage solution that eliminates the need for batteries, making the controller user - and environment-friendly.
