When used in combination with the 3300 XL Proximitor sensor and XL extension cable, the output voltage provided by the system is proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. The system can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) data. It is mainly used for vibration and position measurement applications of liquid film bearing machine tools, as well as key phase measurement and velocity measurement applications6.
The system provides accurate and stable signal output over a wide temperature range. All 3300 XL proximity sensor systems achieve this level of performance, with the probe, extension cable and Proximitor sensors fully interchangeable without the need for individual component matching or bench calibration.
Proximity probe
The 3300 5 mm probe improves on the previous design. The patented TipLoc molding method provides a stronger bond between the probe tip and the probe body. The 3300 5 mm system can be ordered with Fluidloc cable options to prevent oil and other liquids from leaking from the machine through the inside of the cable.

The 3300 5mm probe and 3300 XL extension cable have corrosion-resistant gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors. These connectors require only the torque of finger tightening (the connector will "click"), and a specially designed locking mechanism prevents the connector from loosening. Connectors can be installed or removed without special tools.
The 3300 5mm probe and XL extension cable can be ordered with installed connector protectors, or we can supply connector protectors separately for installation in the field (e.g. when the cable has to pass through a restrictive conduit). We recommend that all installations be fitted with connector protectors to provide higher environmental protection7.
