The AO920N Mechanics S900 Series Remote S900 I/O system can be installed in non-hazardous areas or directly in Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous areas, depending on the system model selected. The S900 I/O uses the PROFIBUS DP standard to communicate with the control system level. The I/O system can be installed directly on site, thus reducing wiring and cabling costs.
The system is robust, fault-tolerant and easy to service. The integrated disconnect mechanism allows for replacement during operation, which means that the power supply unit can be replaced without interrupting the primary voltage.
