About 57C430
The 57C430 is a processor module created by Reliance Electric. Depending on the year of production of the module, it may also be marketed by Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance. The module no longer receives any support from the original company and can be a little hard to find. AX Control does make every effort to keep this part in stock as a refurbished or new surplus stock part.
The 57C430 is an AutoMax 6010 processor module. The processor is designed to be mounted on an AutoMax rack and then control all other modules on the rack. Depending on the size of the rack, you can choose to have only one processor on the rack. You can also choose to place up to four on the same rack.
In order to be able to use the 57C430 properly, it has two system requirements. The system requires 256k of RAM parity and a CPU speed of 8mHZ. In addition, there are requirements for where the 57C430 can be placed on a storage rack. It can only be inserted into 0-4 slots on the rack. If you use multiple processors, one of them must be put into the slot, or it must be left fully open.
The 57C430 has two RS-232 female communication ports. One of these is labeled PORT A and the other is labeled PROGRAMMER/PORT B. There are two leds labeled FAULT CODE.
