The FBM202 thermocouple /mV input interface consists of eight thermocouple input channels and an isolated RTD reference junction compensation channel for terminal temperature detection. Each thermocouple /mV channel accepts standard thermocouples in a variety of temperature ranges, and each offers thermocouple burn detection (high grade). The input is electrically isolated from other channels and ground. The module performs the signal conversion required to connect the electrical input signal from the field sensor to the optional redundant fieldbus. It performs an analog input application that provides configurable options for integrating time and rate of change limits.
