The FENA-01 is a 1-port EtherNet adapter that supports multiple communication protocols: PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP. The selection of the protocol is done through the parameters in the drive.
The adapter module supports PROFINET IO DP-V1 communication. With the FENA-01/-11 module, PROFINET networks can use PROFIdrive profiles or ABB Drives profiles. In addition, two transparent modes are available (for 16-bit and 32-bit words respectively).
The FENA EtherNet adapter acts as an EtherNet/IP server, supporting ODVA AC/DC drives, ABB drives, and transparent profiles. The adapter module supports both explicit messaging, where each property of a class is set individually, and implicit messaging using input and output instances.
The adapter module acts as a Modbus TCP server with support for ABB drives and transparent profiles. Support general read/write single register and multi-register function code.
