The IC694ALG223 is an analog current input module with 16 channels/single-ended inputs. Each input can be configured using software for any of three input ranges: 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, or 4 to 20 mA enhanced.
Alarm limits are high and/or low in all ranges. In the enhanced range of 4 to 20 mA, low alarm limits detect input currents from 4 mA to 0 mA, providing open circuit fault detection in 4 to 20 mA applications. The module can report module status and external power status to the CPU using the assigned program reference address. The IC694ALG223 module is installed with any I/O slot in the RX3i system.
The IC694ALG223 uses the 120 mA current of the 5 VDC bus on the PLC backplane and requires 65 mA plus current loop current from the +24 VDC power supply provided by the user.
MODULE OK LED Sends module status information during power-on. If the LED reads ON, the status is OK and the module is configured. If it shows OFF, the backplane power supply is not recognized, or the watchdog timer has expired). Continuous Fast Flash: indicates that no configuration data has been received from the CPU. OFF Slow blinking indicates that the power-on diagnosis fails or code execution errors occur. User Power LED Confirm that the external 24 VDC power supply is within the expected specification range.
