The model family consists of 11 digital I/O modules with 5 inputs and 6 outputs. Each model is designed to handle specific input and output voltages, as indicated in the "Specifications". Levels on the same module do not mix. Each output module (except Type C relays) consists of 16 channels. These channels are isolated from each other and from the I/O bus on an optical or transformer. Each module is designed to withstand IEEE-472 surges (ANSI c37.90) and maintain normal operation.
Each digital output module channel (except the output relay module) is fused with a standard 3AG fuse and is accessible from the front panel of the module. The front panel displays logical status indicators (on/off) and blown fuse indications for each channel. The output relay module provides normally open or normally closed dry contacts.
